Party night on the felucca

Our last night on the felucca - our captains (Bob and Sadat and the boats ones) prepared the 'wood party' or what we know as bonfire night - the villagers came out and sang there songs while bongoing their drums. There was a lot of bum wiggling dancing otherwise known as the 'ass dance' andd great sing alongs such as 'she'll be smiking marajuana when she comes, whens she comes.... ' and in the felucca the peaceful felucca, the liion sleeps tonight'. was very cool night - felt like i was back in Chang Mai Jungle

A collection of the temples -

Cool sites like this all along our travels.

mmmmmm... i create a collection of the temples cos i dont have my notes with me right now and id hate to make mistakes : ) Point of phots is for you to see the size and craziness of the whole atmosphere - we saw alot of temples - many relocated after careful deconstruction into thousands of pieces. Amazing restoration and preservation of the sites that were getting covered by silt and flood waters!
This is our tour group - complete with Aussies and Kiwis, our one english rose and the french canadian doing the splits in the front.

Luxor - Donkeys and the valley of the kings

Another great hotel with the awesome view of the Mountains around the valley of the kings and a pool on the rooftop to help us enjoy the view. The Luxor temple looked awesome all lit up, unfortunately my camera not so hot with the lit scenes.
We rode our donkeys to the valley of the Kings (over hour plodding, maybe 15 minutes with bum off seat). Stink bit is I dont have photos of that day ( we wont go into that story : ))might update later after after ive caughtup with some of the others who did get some. BUt to help - picture this : Me and Katie with bras on the outside of our shirts aswell as underneath : ) apparently you needed double support, was definitely true - found that one out on the way home when Saeed was too embarresed to let us keep them on - hillarious! Dont worry we did have jackets over top for the most part.
Donkeys were fun, mine had first gear and fourth, not much inbetween. Definitely a good inner thigh work out!
Valley of the Kings was also amazing! So so big and we climbed the mountain and stood where Osama bin Laden Team snipered the tourists, freaky. Havnt done such good mountain climbing in ages! Unfortunately no photos of the valley either but we bought the postcards from the egyptians half way up the mountain - as you do.

The end of the Egyptian express : (

Our carriages awaited us outside our hotel to take us to another temple. Me and Katie sharing the backseat.
Craig and Gemma coming through on the outside.
Kate ( I know - stop with the name kate already!) and I enjoying the flash horse and carriage - breathing in the horse air.

.

Aint we pretty, helps to be pictured beside a horse!
Saeed studied our student ID's that they made up (hee hee i am officially an Oxford University student) and worked out the birthdays that needed to be celebrated. Cake for all but only Katie and Samara blowing out the candles

Sean gets the big bit

Back in our Cairo hotel - chilling in the sheesha cushion room, time for goodbyes : ( Alladin touches up Mohammed one last time (they are the tour leaders that helped out on the side-Alladin a big fan of the high five, pull in , hug combo) hillarious! Even he knows how to do impressions of himself! NOt quite as well as Saeed can though - we have that one on film!
Me and Saeed - the greatest tour leader ever!

One other snowy day in London

My kids playing before the boring school day, they were bouncing i tell u!
Unfortunately these snowballs are all coming toward me : (

There is a snowballon the field just above that scary white light thingee. The height of me and took the kids minutes to make. just rolling and accumulating - crazy

This time the snow was thicker and softer and cooler but not quite as exciting, as it was predicted a couple of days before. Most of the schools in my area were cancelled however mine stayed open due to zaana being silly enough to say i wasnt having any trouble getting there! Ridiculous! not sure what i was thinking - really have to get into the london thought space a little more - normal procedure: ring saying there are massive delays - outcome: a text back saying OK and you sitting in nice warm lounge all day watching friends and scrubs with a little 8 simple rules.

The supposed Haka

Spot the kiwi up a lamp post

Waitangi Day in London

Crowd control by the friendly police who turned our cirlce line into a literal crawl when they closed the station!

me and bianca and me and mel - partying up at the walky after the crazy haka.

Curtis holding back from the district line.

The return of the Peta! Go figure the aussie turns up on Waitangi day - which by the way no aussie knows how to pronounce or spell!

ThBig ben and the NZ flag on someone ass - my best shot of the day!

Well ..not really sure where the day went.......

The big CIRCLE LINE PUB CRAWL... the gathering of the 8000 NZers - stopping at each tube stop to drink outside the deignated pub ( cos there aint no way we were cramming 8000 in those puppies.

Rules: no hopping on the district line that goes to the same places -very much boo to those people ! Y

You must surf the circle - no hands aloud and no holding on.

THere were antics to laugh about - mostly falling over .but the details my friends are somewhat blurry. Few tesco (supermarket) stops, you can see Mel modelling the latest bottle of champas.. few people in some crazy outfits - sorry i was really crap with the photos - as i said - dont know where the day went!

You can see huggles outside our fav south ken Zetland bar, sporting the full beige brigade outfit, as is our Curtis, with the addition of the sports bad and aviators.

The haka was performed in Westminster Abbey. Or so they say - didnt actually see or hear it - way too many people with little indication as where we were actually supposed to be looking. Saw some people climb some poles (gotta love the way kiwis can entertain themselves), saw some people falling off some shoulders, (thanks for the entertainment kate)
