My first weekend!

This is Bex, Monique and me in the walkabout.

I met Monique this weekend after getting no response from Steve (found out later i had the wrong number, so maybe next weekend). We had to make it a big night for my first night out and we partly suceeded - partly as in part of the gang stayed up till 5 and I hit the pillow at midnight. I think i will have to ease myself into the 'big nights'. I experienced the 'walk about' which is an australian sports bar and the redback which is like the australian outback for people my age as opposed to 16yr olds. we had lovely itallian dinner that took half an hour to order and hour to be served but the wine kept us happy in between : )
the sights were cool as we had to cross the river (my first time being in the south) . it was very pretty and weird cos its tidal.
The next day i played my first game of touch. We are called 'cheese on toast'. hehee. there were some local bros running the show which was comforting. Our team came together at the last minute and we just about turned around when we saw the other teams coming off field, covered head to toe in thick thick mud! It was absolutely crazy! i cant even explain how dangerous it was! the mud was so squidgy that you couldnt even jog or side step or anything! But i got my shorts on and showed my thai tan so i was happy : )
