My new room in my new house

This is Peta's side : ) She does feel stink about it though, she was in a rush. She already starts to tidy - that after i tell her i putting it on the net .

SO here is my new room. I am sharing with an Aussie girl who seems really nice. 9 other people in the house which i am a bit worries about learning and remembering there names and related details. My half of the room is the tidy one right now : ) and lucky it be the only time youll see photos of my room - there is no post photo. Thanks for the TV katie and Brent! It is in good form and i will watch over it day and night : )Its a luxury that is very good for those times when im gona want time out from the crowded lounge. So anyway my half of the room is pretty decent size and i have everything i need. Still have to get some blu tac to put up my photos and make it homely. I would love you to send me hard copy photos of my nieces and nephews! Printing from computer not quite the same. And if anyone has webcam and wants to do cool msn chat...... I just got my cool new laptop, webcam and microphone. Lisa i know you know how to do this!

PS I need email addresses from Becca, Clare, Anna and Lisa!!!!! Please send them to me. Canpost it in a comment on the site if you want.

Its been a while........But now im partying with the freshy

Partying with the Freshy!!!!!!!

Well she finally arrived! Here we are in London, partying in various locations........

An inner city bar/restaurant
This was our first drinking session to welcome Kate and Monica to London at 2.30 in the afternoon. Fair to say Kate and I were in good form, especially after a couple of bottles of red wine. The waiter dude told us we were big consumers (of food and drink), Jackie (blondie in black) made sure he knew his place when she used the local lingo on him "What ever Minga". He wasnt impressed but still smiled for our photo.

ITN (Teaching agency) drinking fun night
We started this night started a bit later than the invitation...... we could tell by the crazy drunk people already rocking the dance floor when we walked in. Very entertaining, let me tell you. A few wines later and we were looking just as cool as them! Awesome dancing music and a tribute to Clare with : 'I will walk 500 miles.' I helped Kate scope the talent with an impressive amount of males (for a teaching convention). I am the hunter and she is the gatherer. We make a good team. The night didnt end so great, infact it was a series of unfortunate events. My drink was spiked (as far as we can tell). THe bathroom lady was the only other person who cared, aside from kate. It took alot to get me off the toilet and into a cab. The machine swallowed kates brand new bank card. Our jackets were stolen, or so we thought until we found them i a different place a bit later on. Nearly took home someone elses jacket to compensate but lucky for they were a little larger than the average bear. Kate fell over when getting back in taxi from getting cash on my card. Soon after realised she had left er wallet on the fall along with the 50 quid she had withdrawn to pay for the taxi. managed to get into the taxi fine when she did it for the second time. Finally got home and slept in freezing house cos the heat not working. BUT the night before midnight was very fun, didnt meet very many people but were entertained none the less. The view from walkabout by the river was awesome, unfortunately we decided to wait till the end of the night for photo opps. Needless to say those photos never eventauated : (

This is my first experience in an english pub. Chesca (in photo) and Steph took me for lunch. I tried a sip of their warm beer and went with a coke. Very cute with that old TAB type cologne (citris beer spiked with a smokey undertone). I have since been back to an english local, for the cheap meals and cosy decor.

A day exploring trafalgar square

Well, here are the latest sights from my single exploring missions. I must say I am impressed that I havnt gotten lost so far! Although I have ended up in some cool places without the intention of arriving there at all. All part of the fun though.
The national gallery was very impressive, extremely unbelievably amazing paintings all around. Makes you realise why people have turned to abstract art, there is just no improvements to be made on what some of the artists have already accomplished!
SO Trafalgar square was pretty and most people looked to be having fun with the pigeons, there are no photos of pigeons because - i do not like them! I find them to be most rude and well unmannered! They are a proper pain in the rear when one is walking down one's street.

Saint James park had to be the prettiest, very cool and a lot of sights to be seen from the park benches. I saw cute cute squirrels - Jesse u would love one as a pet (ill sneak one home). I saw big ben peaking at me through some trees but when i tried to walk towards him he just kept disappearing, probably just playing hard to get - ill get him later. I saw the london eye. I saw lots of castle type buildings in the distance, still dont know what they are? I saw many a couples walking hand in hand on such a romantic valentines day ( i didnt love it).

And finally i saw the somewhat overated Bukkingham Palace. Very plain, aside from a little gold frosting on some big gates, it kind of sunk into the surroundings. However grand it is - so everything around it. Unfotunately or fortunately (depending on who you talk to ) i was not there on the right day to see the changing of the guards.
My last stop was picadilly circus where i had to catch the tube, it was crazy. You dont understand how insignificant i felt! There were tall tall humungous buildings and bll boards all around me, in a really close proximity. I usually feel small but it was crazy to look up and all around me, i cant start to explain the feeling.

My first weekend!

This is Bex, Monique and me in the walkabout.

I met Monique this weekend after getting no response from Steve (found out later i had the wrong number, so maybe next weekend). We had to make it a big night for my first night out and we partly suceeded - partly as in part of the gang stayed up till 5 and I hit the pillow at midnight. I think i will have to ease myself into the 'big nights'. I experienced the 'walk about' which is an australian sports bar and the redback which is like the australian outback for people my age as opposed to 16yr olds. we had lovely itallian dinner that took half an hour to order and hour to be served but the wine kept us happy in between : )
the sights were cool as we had to cross the river (my first time being in the south) . it was very pretty and weird cos its tidal.
The next day i played my first game of touch. We are called 'cheese on toast'. hehee. there were some local bros running the show which was comforting. Our team came together at the last minute and we just about turned around when we saw the other teams coming off field, covered head to toe in thick thick mud! It was absolutely crazy! i cant even explain how dangerous it was! the mud was so squidgy that you couldnt even jog or side step or anything! But i got my shorts on and showed my thai tan so i was happy : )

NORMAL LIFE IN LONDON

Hi all!
I guess it has been harder to update now that i am settling rather than exploring. Here is a photo of the second class i taught (in my first few days of arriving in London!) Hope there are no confidentiality clauses that will come back to bite me in the bum! They were a very good class and it seems i have lucked in on schools so far. I could have worked everyday for the past three days, there is such a demand! So i am refraining from signing up with a million agencies and hoping i might get to contract myself out when i move to my own place! I will be raking in the money if i charge competitive prices and dont have to give the agency a big fat cut! The children find it no novelty to have a kiwi as a teacher which is a little sad, but they love me just the same.

This is a picture of where i am living - its a mad house ( with phones ringing non stop; people coming and going; Dogs and cats all over the place) but its very homely and great place to be! NO doubt ill be back for many dinners when i do get kicked out the door.

I will take lots of photos tonight - the families traditional 'jewish night' so you can see the mad house in action. And next week will be my first week of exploring and sight seeing , since next week is school break and i wont be able to work ( or feel guilty about not workin : ) )
Talk to you all soon

OK i did go in the wrong direction once today (damned busses that all look the same) but other than that i am unbeievably a londoner in a past life!
the Wolfe fam (the ones i am staying with ) are looking after me unbelievably well! Steph made my lunch for me today because it took me while to get ready in the mornig! sosososo sweet, cant remember the last time someone made my lunch for me.
The picture of the entertainer is taken at covent garden , whre i visited the other day on m big day out by myself. was quite cool there but very expensive!!

Multiple Island experiences

We covered many islands in two days. we fed fish, we shopped, we snorkelled, we swam, kerrilee climbs hills ( but u better ask her about those ones), we sunbathed, we walked, we took photos. We have very cool guides who are very cheeky! Awesome , awwesome water at all beaches, some mmore populated than others. Swimming in the lagoon was very cool also. Well thats quite a bit for u to take in so i will leave u all with that
love and kisses
Zaana, Lisa and Kerrilee ( she a bit sick right now so not soooo smoochy kisses from her)

Krabi

Krabi is cute and we love the people! The girl at our resort is very touchy feely and smiley. I willmiss her as much as my Fiji resort lady (the one me and anna cried over when we left). They all drive flash as cars (alot of hilux's) because of the pollution laws. You can buy cocktails on the side of the street and drink them while your walking through the markets or on the beach! The sunsets are beautiful and our bungalow is pretty cute (ghekos and chooks and toads and all) Kerrilee not so nice to the toads - she kick them off the path.
And there mc donalds has curly fries!!!!! Look Jess i get a photo just for you!!!

Thai Cooking Lessons

Our Thai cooking classes were real fun!!! And Yummy!! in fact - no kidding - best thai food we have tasted yet! We do tricks with flames and rolling spring rolls and we taste all sorts of different crazy ingredients. we got a cookbook so we can cook for yo all! and we all got a certificate - Lisa almost not so good, but no problems, she got it in the end : )

One night in Ao Nang (Krabi)

Lisa and I hit the town one night. Kerrilee stayed in to soak in some Krabi atmosphere. Started with our first tuk tuk ride (very fast). We bought cocktails from the local dairy type shop and drank them on the side of the street. We bought more cocktails during the 6pm - 11pm happy hour, at a side bar with seats that faced outward to the street. A few romantic couples but we soon broke the mood with our hysterics. We bumped into our amrican friends and moved on to the crazy alley bars who all compete with music snacks and games! So there we are playing Jenga and connect four and some spinny thing - all of which I was the champion ofcourse!
Was very cool night!
