I predict a riot!

No riots on the big yellow truck as you can see . HOwever there were a few protests on the streets of many peruvian cities. You may have seen on the news but dont worry im fine! we were however stranded in the city as we were supposed to be driving for 12 hrs to Cuzco to start the inca trail! we couldnt get delayed or we would have to forego our spots on the trail that have to be pre booked so we booked a flight that left early the next morning! so it was fun day in the airport carpark where we pulled out the cooking gear and cooked soup for our lunch, security not like so much. there was alot of yahtzee and music, bit of hack and rounders. nothing like bit of exercise at high alttitude! we set up laptop inside to watch a movie and at the end of the day they gave us the chapel to sleep in. freezed my bum off but apprently the trick is to strip down inside your sleeping bag so the reflection starts to work. layering up not so good! hoping that gonna work for inca trail although seems a bit backward thinking and kinda risky even for my highly scientific thinking mind!
So so far the big rocks on the road and burning tyres are keeping our drivers and big yellow truck far away but we are safely in Cuzco where riots have been kept to outer parts.

Amazing views even from the airport carpark! Those mountains are actually real, not painted on or superimposed!

Fin ally we reach Cuzco. a day late but better the 45 min plane ride than the planned 12hr drive! although probably missed alot of cool sites! This my roomy Louise, she scottish girl who can speak real good spanish! handy to have! learning slowlly!

EAch Peruvian city has an awesome square, this being the most impressive yet. SO pretty with hills surrounding it the full 360 degrees. we rode the tram touris bus thingee to the top to get some good sites!

The statue very cool, watching over the city along with heaps of other crosses. Heaps pf very cool catholic cathedrals. was gonna give jesus a hug but he behind bars so made it bit hard ;(
Looking over cuzco from very high and cold place! Saving my good clothes for later : )
